How to play

Choose a commission, review its board and goals, then press Start.

Default controls

Left/right move; Up delays descent; Down soft-drops; Space rotates clockwise; Enter places; P or Escape pauses; C triggers a manual companion ability. Rebind controls in Settings. Build uses Up and Down for free vertical movement.

Which words score?

New horizontal or vertical words normally need three letters. Valid two-letter words containing J, Q, X, or Z also score. A word must extend beyond the placed group and be a new instance. Longer words suppress contained shorter words.

Fifty placements

Placements 1–20 score fully, 21–40 score half, and 41–50 score zero. All placements count. Goal progress can continue in the zero-point tier. Seal when required goals are met; placement 50 resolves the board.

Heat, chain, and combo

Reusing cells builds heat. Consecutive scoring placements build chain. Several new words in one placement earn combo. Expand word history to see the calculation.

Words and definitions

The offensive-word filter defaults on for new runs. It matches whole words; saved runs keep their recorded policy. Definitions open Merriam-Webster when online. The provisional ENABLE2K dictionary is not a current tournament word list.
